2010 Benelli Tornado Tre 903

2010 Benelli Tornado Tre 903

The authenticity of the technical options, advanced design and exclusivity from every part of only a few features that have made Tornado Tre 903 RS reference point in a strong field of bicycle SupersPort.
Every time a new Italian design bikes or cars usually creates excitement from the public and the press. Italian design is always different and Benelli Tornado RS certainly live up to this tradition! I saw a preview of the Tornado a few years ago and read about the reaction mixture, so finally I managed to get a real one for the road and test track to see what the fuss was about. There are plenty of top end sports bikes in the world, not only from Japan, but from England, Italy and now Germany too. So is the Benelli different from the others, you can see in a crowd?

I did a motorcycle trip to Three Cross Hospital in Dorset to collect, it was a warm sunny day and there I was going by car and trailer to get it. Why can not I ever get it right, always rains when i go to get a Harley with bike, still a good prediction for next week, maybe I’ll actually try it?

My question about Benelli soon get noticed is to answer the way home. Within 10 minutes of leaving it surrounded by spectators in the first set of lights at the local town, it was the beginning of a pattern! Wherever I went during the course of the next 10 days are the same, Benelli turned his head and it’s frankly difficult task these days with all the bikes look good in the market. Even non-bikers staring from the comfort of air-conditioned comfort of their cars. Maybe it was jealous when I weaved past them in traffic, maybe they all saw a bike like this, but I still find their way to the front of the line and still look away when I left them all looking teeth!
Big giveaway with RS Benelli fans were in the tail, talking about making people stare and a talk, drive fast on the person next to them and then the reaction – What are the ****’ s that? You can only imagine what they say, it just makes you laugh when you ride by. Of course in RS fans red to go with the whole bike, but in their Tre yellow, just to make them stand out even more. Let’s face it, in black it will never be the same!

After several days of riding it was time for the annual pilgrimage to Silverstone for the World Superbikes, three days and racing bikes, brilliant! This year I parked in the desert race with the Benelli, the irony of it themselves because they are not qualified for the race now. Why? World Superbike rule changes and Benelli built to comply with old rules, 750cc four-cylinder, three-cylinder 900cc and 1000cc twins. But for now 1000cc bikes, and that means big redesign if it will race again. And in my mind races properly.

Riding solo and two-up for several days, both in town and out in the usual way gave the first decision on a bike. While parked outside a cafe, it’s a real attention magnet, and get there on the road ballistic experience whatsoever! With a bike race equipment, handling and comfort was not the easiest to ride a bike much but the highest award you with the feel and feedback, and wow does it cover the roads with a speed of honor! If not enough, every time you appear in your partner’s house, they always come out to greet you with the words “Well I heard you were coming around the corner, it makes the entire room for the ‘It’s good to know that you’ve arrived!
So, what’s that really want to ride?

Run the motor and vibrates a little, then threw himself into groundshaking low rumble, a bit like my old Triumph Daytona T595, in fact much like that, but that’s where the similarity ends though. Maybe it sounds as relaxed idling standing at his side, but put it on your teeth and ride off and then you see a real difference!
Engine response is very good and interesting ‘turbines as’ from nothing to the tip top with smooth power delivery and torque tons. Cassette gearbox is very slick and quickshifting through a box with no clutch just fun. Changing down is easier and easier to fit shoes to clutch makes smooth gear changing without actually touching the clutch lever. Blip the throttle and snick in, nice and simple, except when you need to find neutral. There are two possibilities to find neutral, get it while you stop, or kill the engine and find it later. In talking with some other owners I found out that this is the nature of this box, fit for habitation with it, but the city was slightly damaged.

2010 Benelli Tornado Tre 903

2010 Benelli Tornado Tre 903

RS is much less weight on your wrist rather than what you’d expect from this style bike, and the thin wafers chair was not as bad as it looks good as well spread load. Suspension is firm to say the least and bumpy road back is not a recommended place to ride, so get them from the fine people ‘A’ and ‘path B’ for best results. Benelli RS needs to be ridden out of town, in the fast corners, a narrow road or flowing, truly did not mind, way more interesting the better because there is little need to change gear! There are slightly above 11 500 rpm to play with here, and there is also no point looking at where you suddenly take off, it really is as flexible as that. At normal cruising speeds Tornado RS is running on aa very relaxed 4500rpm at 70mph in 6th, but if you need to get something past or feel urgent to small bursts in the street all you need to do is twist the gas and away he went, solo or two-up made little difference.
Benelli spec sheet it says that this bike puts a claimed 133 bhp, and the new head to head in the Cadwell Park track with our long-term GSX-R 750 it was almost the same. There is really very little difference between them. The Benelli is smoother and more progressive power delivery than the 4cyl, but in terms of ‘chuckability’ GSX-R which is at the head of the queue. Tri a fantastic sound when you open it, induction noise alone makes you continue to do so more than 7000 rpm, then the roaring and only get faster and faster!

After just a few miles up in the streets for a few days it is time to understand the bike at the track, so we went to Cadwell Park to try it out properly. Handling on-road so far is fantastic, what it’s like on the track with higher speeds?

Benelli suspension is a package of quality that seems to get better and better the faster you go, but also works well on low speed. Overall feeling you get from this bike is that it’s really good front and rear planted in almost any speed, Benelli’ve definitely got a difficult balancing act of combining simple, fast and stable steering feel very well resolved. The Marzocchi 50mm USD forks are perfect for this bike, combined with a shock “” Extreme Technology rear you get all felt with absolute grip and stability, although the road was a bit stiff but not shared. On top of the yoke there is “Extreme Technology” steering damper, but I personally think it was way more than the need for accessories really do not need it. I declined to the lowest setting on the road and no need at all on the track. No matter what you do with the bike on acceleration or more bumps, no vague a headshake, rocking, in fact there never was a time when the silencer was actually going to work.
The same story pops up when you talk about braking. Benelli RS is equipped with Brembo 320mm front brakes with radial calipers 4 piston that does the job with no fuss and perfect feel and progression. On the road, you do not need more than one finger to bring you out of the normal speed, on track to add one more finger and you have the ‘King brakers end’! Braided hose / Brembo radial caliper combo in RS Benelli is another sign of the quality of this kit on that bike, bike with near perfect braking feel and some serious braking power when you need it.

The Benelli Tornado RS is a pure sports bike designed for the fun of winding road. There are some little things you should familiarize yourself, but overall a fantastic bike with one sole purpose in life – to excite! Riding position is perfect for sliding your buttocks off the seat and scrape your knee on the asphalt at nearly every corner. Bar just at the right place so they do not provide long-distance wrist pain, and I believe on one occasion I was doing more than 400 miles to Cadwell Park, drove in the lane all day and then go home again without wrist pain at all – your mind a little chair hard after that amount of time and I felt a little pain in there!

Tornado RS is the performance of real-world bikes and will be equal to any offers from Japan and countries of origin. A real thing about the Benelli RS is unique and will draw crowds wherever he went. This will fit the same poseurs and real riders, an exercise bike with a serious look beautiful and also quite good with the damn thing!

2010 Aprilia TUONO 1000 R Review and Specifications

Posted by delvotro On July - 22 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS
2010 TUONO 1000 R Black

2010 TUONO 1000 R Black

Since it first appeared in the motorcycle scene, the Tuono has embodied Aprilia genius and amazing technical know-how, accumulated through victory after victory in motorcycle racing. The Tuono has come means more than talent and technology will be another road bike.
The fact is that the Tuono only unique. Not just another naked, the Tuono Superbike 1000 cc. Only gifts that have been removed, and the handlebars raised for maximum control. The Tuono has exceeded all expectations. This has proved unbeatable as a road bike, and the Factory version has been invincible on the racetrack, literally dominating the Italian racing nude scenes. Not satisfied with success at home, Aprilia Tuono also carry the flag in the international racing scene, achieving prestige in epic races like the Isle of Mann Tourist Trophy, is just one incident in which the Tuono has dared to take the bike production and competition superbikes too. The Tuono is a street fighter with racing in the blood.
The new Tuono 1000 R smooth, powerful, and precise. This class holds all records for motorcycles, and is undoubtedly the leader in the twin cylinder scene. In short, the Tuono 1000 R is the bike that all other nakeds to beat. This is the machine for the demanding motorcyclist, the rider who seeks maximum naked performance, on the road and on track.
With performance beyond the competition, the Tuono 1000 R is the best naked money can buy, with all the performance of Superbike racing for the thrill even the most sophisticated racing driver.
139 HP engine not only gives you more strength to play with, but make the bike more usable on the road as well. Just like the RSV from which derived, the Tuono 1000 R realize the concept of “total ridability” which always characterized the performance Aprilia motorcycles.
Manically proper ergonomics combine with extraordinary control that’s easy to let you build a perfect feeling with the bike when you ride off, and to help you maximize your own potential with the minimum physical and mental effort.
The Aprilia engineers have made improvements that will ensure that the Tuono 1000 R continues to set the pace for high performance nakeds.
Let’s see some major changes.
New · V 60 Magnesium Evolution engine
· Dynamic air intake (only naked with ram air technology)
· Electronic fuel injection system with 57 mm throttle body
· Machinery management unit of 16 bits
· Exhaust system with twin silencers and three way catalytic converter with Lambda probe oxygen sensor
· Perimeter frame Aluminum Alloy
Double banana · aluminum suspension
· Lighter steering yoke

Once again Aprilia has succeeded in producing, fine naked exclusive and unique. Latest Tuono 1000 R remains the most sought after of all naked twins, and the perfect synthesis of exclusive components, quality, technology and finish.
Like RSV, the Tuono has been perfected on track to meet the most demanding and refined motorcyclists. Each individual part has been developed to maximize performance and pleasure ride naked who has become a legend in racing circles.
Engine performance is better than ever. Maximum power is 102 kW (139 HP) at the crank and maximum torque 10.9 kgm at just 8500 rpm. The Aprilia Tuono 1000 R is therefore one of the most powerful of all nakeds.

2010 TUONO 1000 R White

2010 TUONO 1000 R White

Styling
Bicycles styling is unmistakably Aprilia, and unmistakably Tuono. The 1000 R Tuono maintain close family look with the previous model and the RSV 1000 R from the origin. That’s, newly aggressive nose fairing, with closely mounted twin lights, have been developed in wind tunnel testing to provide effective protection for the rider and to kill lift at high speeds, ensuring maximum precision and control.
The Tuono 1000 R has been designed with performance and comfort in mind. All parts are styled for stunning looks and maximum functionality. The two lateral spoilers, for example, not only looks great but also serve an important aerodynamic purpose. They help keep the bike stable at high speeds and keep the wind from the rider’s legs. This was partly thanks to these spoilers that the Tuono 1000 R aerodynamics provide better protection than the other naked.
The design team has also been trying hard to ensure that, unlike other nakeds, Tuono 1000 R benefits from race-tuned engine breathing. The Tuono 1000 R is the only naked with dynamic air intake located directly under the nose fairing, and channel to channel ram air through the frame to the airbox. Yet more evidence of the soul racing in 1000 without compromising the Tuono R’s!
In 1000 Tuono R, ergonomics is one of the stronger points bike. Seating position has been carefully designed to provide maximum control of the rider on the front end. The addition to the handlebars are lower and the footrests have been moved farther back, thus riding position is sportier and more effective. Nevertheless, the overall comfort and even increased, so the ride is less tiring.
Slender tail with integrated direction indicators is similar to RSV, but the points to increase the dynamic styling Tuono 1000 R’s. Motorbikes can also be quickly changed from double to single seat by an official Aprilia kits (optional).

The V60 Magnesium Evolution engine
Latest 1000 cc V 60 Magnesium Evolution engine from the RSV 1000 R Factory, with only some minor changes to improve torque and muscle at low revs. Machine has been thoroughly redesigned to maintain its reputation as the best twin cylinder engine in production. So performance is more amazing than ever, with power that can be used 100% and, of course, that proverbial Aprilia reliability.
Engine breathing has been improved by the new, larger valves (enlarged 31-33 mm in diameter) and a new exhaust header pipe diameter is greater. Thanks to this increase, the V60 Magnesium Evolution that drives Tuono 1000 R puts more strength than ever, 139 HP at 9500 rpm, while also increasing the torque to an impressive 10.9 kgm at 8500 rpm, a figure that tells you all you need to know about muscle Aprilia’s V twin can provide even at low revs.
The silencers have catalytic converters installed nearer the collector pipes. This solution has reduced converter activation time by 50%, while further reducing the rate of emissions, keeping tem well within the strict limits required for Euro 3 homologation.
optimized fluid dynamics inside the cylinder head has been improved by mapping the refinement of the combined ignition and fuel injection systems to achieve higher power throughout the useful range of rotation.

So let us look at the main characteristics of the new engine V 60 Magnesium Evolution:
· New optimized cylinder heads with larger valves and one spark plug per cylinder
· 57 mm throttle bodies with one injector per cylinder
High Strength conrods ·
· Lighter overall weight thanks to the extensive use of magnesium
· Close-ratio gearbox
· Dry Flood trochoid lubrication with double pump, separate oil tank and oil cooler
· Mixed gear and chain valve timing. Drive gear (one for each timing chain) located inside the crankcase to maintain the cylinder head as small as possible.
· AVDC (Anti Vibration Double countershaft).
· Aprilia’s patented PPC (Pneumatic Power Clutch) hydraulic-operated, power assisted clutch system for controlling rear wheel under the mental slowing

The Tuono 1000 R inherits the RSV’s dynamic air intake, the location was just below the light cluster, in the middle of the bike where ram air pressure is highest. Air Runner duct (which also supports the nose and instrument prize) to the airbox air channels, 10.3 liters designed to allow the engine to develop its full potential. Air ducts Runner ensure that the pressure in the airbox increases with speed, and produces 3% increase in engine power at maximum speed.
Engine control unit developed in conjunction with Siemens VDO provides integrated engine management. ECU receives all essential engine parameters in real time from 15 different sensors, processes the data and, again in real time, controls the various actuators that keep the engine functioning perfectly at all times.
Flash EPROM unit is equipped with mapping for unrestricted racing out ready to load. Aprilia Technical Assistance Service can therefore enable race mapping in next to no time on request.

FRAME

Do you ride on the street or on the track, Tuono 1000 R’s chassis brings you the top performance and control. Every aspect of the frame, suspension fork and have been refined according to the perfect weight distribution. In accordance with Aprilia traditions, the frame is a combination of aluminum-silicon foundry alloys and Peraluman 450 pressed parts. A highly sophisticated structure is not only more rigid than the previous version but lighter too. Latest frame weighs under 10 kg (9650 grams) setting an impressive new record for its class. wheelbase is shorter too, and at 1410 mm – the record for the category – accounts for the Tuono 1000 R rack’s than the handling and more instinctive ride.
The new double banana suspension gives a clear section for exhaust system and weighs only 4860 grams, well under the 5 kg figure considered by experts as a reference weight for this component.

SUSPENSION
fork is a Showa upside down unit, with a 43 mm cage for the perfect balance between precision on the racetrack and comfort on the road. And to ensure that the ideal setup can be achieved for all styles and conditions, on the road and on the same line, the fork is fully adjustable in spring preload and in compression and rebound damping. The Sachs monoshock at the rear is also regulated in spring preload and rebound damping.

Braking System
Braking system has undergone some major changes. The new Tuono 1000 R is equipped with Brembo radial calipers Gold featuring two separate sintered pads. The two 320 mm floating steel discs feature a narrower braking band to minimize inertia and weight and stay in place by Aprilia exclusive six spoke flange.
rear braking system is Brembo Gold too, with 220 mm stainless steel disc and the caliper with the two 32 mm pistons.
The front and rear brakes both use aeronautical metal braided hoses to eliminate the sponginess definitely associated with conventional brake hoses and to ensure maximum braking precision.

COMPONENTS
What makes the Aprilia Tuono 1000 R stand out from the competition is the care and attention that Aprilia has paid incredible to every small detail. The design team doing the best they have to ensure that every component on the bike to improve performance and functionality, reduce weight and improve the quality and completion.

The following components deserve special attention.
- Dashboard is a unit (digital-analog) mixture. This uses the data received from the CAN line to perform functions essential for autodiagnostic which also has a special memory. New dashboard control unit performs the same function as the previous unit (including the 40 lap timer) but is more compact and modern in design and extremely lightweight. User friendliness has improved too, with all functions controlled from two practical push-buttons on the left hand light switch.

The LED backlighting can also be adjusted to three levels of intensity.
· The cluster light comes from the RSV, and incorporates a four unit visibility for night-time light is perfect.
· The tail light cluster features the new innovative design and LED lighting RSV.
· The key contacts internally code, and the ignition block is equipped with engine immobilizer as standard.

2010 Benelli TNT 1130 Titanium

Benelli TNT 1130 Titanium

Overview

Benelli is a clear objective to make even more explosive racing bike. And that’s what the TNT Titanium is: inspired by racing bikes but with the handling and flexibility that can only offer Naked bike. From the exhilaration of a true racing bike is secured with exceptional equipment: carbon fairings, titanium exhaust system, suspension can really set on low and high speeds, dry clutch, forged wheels, radial brake system, an eccentric system for complete footboard adjustment .
Everything needed for perfect tuning when rising Titanium TNT in natural terrain: the track. The elegance of this bike is also enhanced with a unique color of the fairings and frame and fabric chair exclusively.
An important innovation in the motor: as in all the TNT model year 2005 versions, the Titanium offers the possibility of modifying motor functions by simply pressing the button lights up on the dash support. Engine control unit can be switched between free power and controlled power for better control of the motorcycle in poor traction conditions with a decrease in fuel consumption 10-20%, depending on driving style and on the road. Free power configuration makes it possible to enjoy the features of the motor torque and power, while the controlled power configuration makes it possible to easily use the motorcycles in town, even on asphalt with poor traction, either alone or with a passenger, without stress.

2010 TNT 1130 Titanium Front

2010 TNT 1130 Titanium Front

Exclusive technical aspects are also seen in the extraordinary cycle: this version sports a strong fork 50 mm fully regulated in compression, extension and spring preload, with a hard surface to improve quality of shear which contribute to making the road holding solid and precise. Back shock absorber body in Ergal – light and unique in the world panorama; it’s really set in compression – with double adjustment for high and low speeds – extension and spring preload to offer a good level of performance and dependability to create a safe ride in all conditions asphalt.

Attention is given to the search light and performance, which is confirmed by using the false Marchesini rims and aluminum alloy engine and Brembo braking system of a mountain 4 piston radial calliper and 320 mm diameter double disk on the front.

As you can see, the TNT Titanium is a motorcycle, was unprecedented with a unique personality that marked changes in the world motorcycle market. Benelli bikes tend to look the same so that the mechanical features of Titanium in 2007 was shared with the Café Racer in 1130 and, at first glance, you will not find a radical design differences between the one and the others, but all consist of little things that make it special and even placed in a class by itself. Motorcycles today is just an idea producer naked bike (which is quite nice, by the way) while the 1130 Café Racer riders bring back the rebels back when they break things racing.

I just want to make clear early on that 07 Titanium is not just another bicycle equipped with a 1131cc engine, but a new interpretation of features that will make the bike the other says a prayer. A revised fuel injection 1131cc liquid-cooled in-line triple with DOHC and 12 valves developed a 131.3 horsepower at 9.250 rpm and 117 Nm at 6750 rpm, so that now it is clear that improvement never ends. Attention to detail is also very good, so obviously will stand as an interesting journey.

2010 Benelli TNT899T Blue

2010 Benelli TNT899T Blue

The Benelli TNT has a super bare with us now, virtually unchanged since 2004. Early 1130cc model snarling, brutal, wheelie-prone monster with a savage-sounding roar from the three into one underseat exhaust. But this is very early models can be temperamental things, but because it was purchased by the Group Benelli Qiangiang China (they produce more than 1.2 million wheels two years there), money that has poured into the Benelli TNT making more smooth and reliable . The Benelli 899S is powered by a version of the Benelli Tornado Superbike engine re old and is arguably the best TNT to exit from the factory gates in Pesaro, Italy. It is smooth, smooth, fast, fun and very good value for money too. Benelli also conducts 899T, which has a slightly lower spec and non-adjustable suspension to 200 pounds less.

2010 Benelli TNT899T engine

ENGINE
Although the basic architecture remains the same, the old 899cc in-line three cylinder engines get a new internal Benelli Tornado Benelli TNT 899S to create a more docile, less rigorous and simple way to live together. It has new cylinder heads, pistons, cams and revised ignition mapping, and unlike the old Benellis, all on / off jerkiness when you’ve lost the feathers on the throttle at low revs. This makes a beautiful Benelli TNT 899S to get around town and more predictable through the corners as well. Acceleration is not up there with the Triumph Speed triple and KTM Super Dukes of the world because it only has 118bhp and is very heavy (weighing 199kg), but there was plenty of performance that will own and shrieking exhaust note at high revs to enjoy. This brilliant new motor makes Benelli TNT 899S looks like a completely new model, despite its intimate apparel.

RIDE and HANDLING
Talented rider Gianluca Galasso tests and ex-factory rider Benelli Bimota working in construction at the moment and the sign is the entire TNT 899S. Nothing else TNTs arranged like a plank of wood, this one is beautiful suspension luxury. Benelli TNT 899S beautiful rose mound, but when you come through the bend axis was still nice and quiet. Around town, broad, upright ride is comfortable and spacious bar that gives you much control. non-radial brakes to work, but the high weight-ups all stopped Benelli bikes from scoring five perfect.

2010 APRILIA RSV4 R Review and Specification

2010 Aprilia RSV4 White

2010 Aprilia RSV4 White

Aprilia RSV4, the street version of the bike which has taken Max Biaggi and Team Aprilia Alitalia to the top of the World Superbike Championship, was voted “Bike of the Year 2010″ by the readers of the monthly magazine “Motociclismo”.

At the conclusion of a widespread survey which involved more than 33,000 readers of the magazine – the most authoritative and historical specialised Italian periodical, founded in 1914 – Aprilia RSV4 R was awarded both the recognition of “Sport Bike of the Year”, beating out its rivals, the BMW S 1000 RR and the Ducati 1198 S, as well as, and above all, the title of “Bike of the Year 2010″ which elects it as the absolute monarch of the “Motociclismo” readers’ preferences.

The awards ceremony which took place yesterday evening at the Edisport headquarters held many other satisfactions in store for Aprilia and the Piaggio Group with further category victories and various placings for the Group’s motorcycles and scooters.

In fact, Aprilia won the title of “Bike of the Year” in the 50cc category (with Aprilia RS, which has always been a winner in this category), 125cc (with the larger engine version of the Aprilia RS, in this case also a consistent winner in its class), and Enduro with the Aprilia RXV 4.5/5.5. Second place went to the Aprilia Dorsoduro Factory 750cc in the Supermotard category.

To the Vespa GTS 300 once again this year went the absolute victory for mid-size scooters, while for the over 300cc scooters another two of the Group’s vehicles, the Gilera GP800 and the Piaggio Mp3 400 placed 2nd and 3rd. Also, in the “little 50′s” group the reader’s voted the Vespa 50 S as their second favourite.

Two awards also went to the Moto Guzzi brand yesterday evening: in fact, the “Motociclismo” readers gave the Moto Guzzi Norge 1200 8V 2nd place in the Grand Tourer bike category and third place in the Cruiser category to the California 1100 Vintage.

Aprilia RSV4 is the result of a technologically state-of-the-art project developed entirely by Aprilia. With 36 championship titles win in World Bikes – thanks to an impressive record of 275 victories in the G.P. speed championship – to which another 7 world titles in off road are added, Aprilia is without question the top winner among Italian and European manufacturers today in world championships.

The extraordinary V4 1,000cc engine and the “racing” style of the Aprilia RSV4 have immediately become the new reference point for the sector. The RSV4 already astonished the competitive world at the beginning of the season, earning 9 podiums in 2009 and its first victory on the track at Brno with Max Biaggi. But above all it places itself as a key player in the 2010 championship in which the Team Aprilia-Alitalia RSV4 has already achieved two spectacular double wins, ridden to victory by Biaggi in both races of the Portugal Gran Prix on the Portimao track and the Italy Gran Prix on the legendary Monza Autodrome where Max Biaggi broke – for the first time in the world of Superbike – the “barrier” of 330 kilometres per hour.
